You might ask why we need another book on personal finance. It's true—there are LOTS of books available and there's LOTS of information out there on the Internet, in magazines and on television. And yet, North Americans are in debt. Personal savings are down. We spend first and worry about paying later. We haven't learned from the recent credit crisis—we still want to spend, spend, spend.

We asked ourselves with all the information available, why are things not getting any better? We came to the conclusion that most people are not listening and why not?
